Freeform Radio & Internet Talkshow Host & Audio Tech
Since fall 2021, I have hosted a weekly radio & internet talkshow alongisde my close friend, Evelyn Frields. As a live show, we underwent training to seamlessly stream audio & blend several inputs in real time. When Ev studied abroad this past fall, I ran her calls through the control surface so she could co-host from Korea!
A space to explore media, creators, & projects from a variety of alternative subcultures, Ctrl+Alt+42 is edgy, unhinged, hilarious, nerdy, & fun.

Musician Interviews
In January of 2022, I took an
immersive
podcasting class held at WTJU Charlottesville, taught by station manager Nathan Moore. The
course was 8 hours/day day for two weeks.
In that time, I received hands-on training for various types of recording equiment & audio
editing softwares. For my final project––in a one week time span, I organized,
hosted, recorded, &
edited a podcast interview with Pavement's drummer, Bob Nastanovich.

The episode aired on WTJU's online & FM radio stations, inspiring me to continue this project, conducting interviews with other successful music artists. My goal of this project was to demystify the music-making process and encourage my listeners to create art for art's sake.

Each interview was conducted over Zoom. I extracted the audio files from the Zoom recordings & uploaded them into Adobe Audition. From there, I edited the interviews based on narrative & clarity.
